Hainan University is a comprehensive key university formed by the merger of the former South China Tropical Agriculture University and the former Hainan University in August 2007. 1. Types of funding

In principle, the program is used to recruit new students, and does not recruit students who study their native language or third-country language and literature majors such as English and French. 

2. Funding content

Free registration fee, tuition fee, and medical insurance fee, provide on-campus accommodation (two persons per room), and other expenses at your own expense.

4. Application conditions

1. Non-Chinese citizens holding a valid foreign passport . Physical and mental health, good conduct, friendly to China, abide by Chinese laws and regulations of Hainan University, and respect Chinese culture and customs. Meet China’s entry and exit requirements. It complies with the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education “Notice on Regulating the Relevant Work of Our Colleges and Universities Accepting International Students” (Jiaowaihan [ 2020] No. 12). Namely: Originally Medium

Citizens of foreign countries, applicants who later became foreign nationals or both of their parents or one of them are Chinese citizens and settled in a foreign country. Applicants who have foreign nationality at birth should hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for 4 years (inclusive) Above, and have a record of actual residence in a foreign country for more than 2 years in the last 4 years (until April 30 of the enrollment year).

2. Educational background and age requirements:

●Applicants who come to China to study for a bachelor’s degree must have an academic background or certificate equivalent to a Chinese senior high school graduation and be under the age of 30.

●Applicants who come to China to study for a master’s degree must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35;

●Applicants who come to China to study for a Ph.D. degree must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.  

 3. Language requirements:

●For Chinese-taught programs, the Chinese proficiency must be at least 180 points in HSK Level 4;

●For English-taught programs, the English proficiency must be IELTS 6.0 and above (no less than 6.0 in a single subject); or TOEFL 560 or above, and the new TOEFL (Internet-based test) 78 points or above. Students from countries whose native language and official language are English are exempted from submitting an English proficiency certificate. 

Five application materials

Applicants are requested to log on to the Hainan University Study in China Application Platform https://hainu.17gz.org/ to fill in the information and upload the application materials. Prepare the corresponding paper materials according to the requirements of the following “application materials” list, and submit the application materials in duplicate to the International Student Admissions Office of Hainan University School of International Education before April 30 .

1. “Hainan Provincial Government Scholarship Application Form for International Students” and “Hainan University Application Form for Studying in China ” (filled in Chinese or English) . “Hainan Provincial Government Scholarship Application Form for International Students” is detailed in the attachment. The ” Application Form for Studying in China at Hainan University ” needs to be filled in at the Hainan University Studying in China Application Platform https://hainu.17gz.org/ .

2. A copy of the first page of a valid ordinary passport.

3. A notarized copy of the highest degree certificate and transcript (notarized Chinese or English translations should be attached to the non-Chinese or English version); if the applicant is a student, the expected copy issued by the school should be submitted Graduation certificate, the original or notarized certificate of academic qualifications must be submitted after admission; if the applicant is already employed, an in-service certificate issued by the employer must be submitted separately.

4. Copy of language proficiency certificate : apply for a Chinese-taught program, provide HSK score report or other equivalent Chinese proficiency certificate; apply for an English-taught program, provide a TOEFL or IELTS certificate.

5. Copy of “Foreigner Physical Examination Record” and blood examination report. Applicants should strictly follow the required items in the “Foreigner Physical Examination Form” for inspection. The “Foreigner Physical Examination Form” that is missing, does not have a photo of the person posted, or is not stamped with a seam seal on the photo, is not signed and stamped by the doctor and the hospital, is invalid.

6. Two recommendation letters from the teachers of the graduated school or the current college.

7. Study and research plans in China. Written in Chinese or English ( 1000 characters to 1500 characters) .

8. Proof of no criminal record.

9. For international students who have already studied in China to apply to study in our school, the applicant must provide a valid visa or study residence certificate issued by another school, and must provide the “Certificate of End of Study” or “Certificate of Transfer” issued by the above-mentioned school.

10. Personal resume. If you have published or written papers, works, works, etc., please attach them together.

11. I has acquired foreign nationality at birth but one or both parents as Chinese citizens of the applicant, or formerly foreign nationality after the Chinese citizens over more than four years (including) the applicant shall provide the applicant recently outside the four years Proof of residence and the signature page of the passport for entering and leaving China.

Note:

1. All application materials should be bound into a booklet in the upper left corner in order. In duplicate, one is the notarized original and the other is the photocopy. Regardless of whether you are admitted or not, the application materials will not be returned.

2. If the applicant’s conditions or application materials do not meet the regulations and requirements, the application will be deemed invalid and will not be accepted;

3. The applicant must fill in all the information truthfully. Please provide translations for documents that are not in Chinese or English;

6. Admission and admission

1. After receiving the application materials, Hainan University will review and select the best candidates for admission;

2. For applicants who are pre-admitted by Hainan University, the Hainan Provincial Department of Education will determine the final admission result and give feedback to the school (the specific time will be determined by the Hainan Provincial Department of Education);

3. After the final admission result is confirmed, Hainan University will announce the admission result online, and send the “Admission Notice” and “Visa Application Form for Studying in China” (JW202 Form ) to the admitted (usually in July);

4. Entry time: generally in September , subject to the time on the admission notice;

5. Scholarship recipients must participate in the annual scholarship review as required after enrollment. Those who fail to pass the review will be suspended or disqualified from the scholarship;  

6. Scholarship recipients are not allowed to change their admission institutions, majors and duration of study after coming to China;

7. Scholarship qualifications will not be reserved for those who cannot come to China to study within the time limit for admission.

Jilin Government Scholarship Application

一、Scholarship Application

(一)Application Requirements

1.Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens and be in good health.

2.Applicants should comply with the laws and regulations in China, and comply with the rules and disciplines of schools.

3.Applicant should have obtained the bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.

4.Applicant should have good grades and get recommendation letters from 2 professors/assistant professors.

5.Applicant should NOT be awarded with other Chinese Government Scholarships of all levels.

(二)Application Procedures and Time

Foreign students can seek advice from the relevant government departments, agencies, and Chinese embassies and consulates. The applicants can log on the relevant website of universities that recruit foreign students and check the scholarship students information. According to the application requirements, the applicants should directly submit the written applications to the certified colleges and universities for academic year. The applied majors should be available for the foreign masters.

(三)Application Materials: (all the material should be in Chinese or English)

The applicants must fill in and submit the following documents truly, correctly and completely:

1、Application form for Jilin Government Scholarship;

2、The notarized photocopy highest diploma and transcripts. If applicants are university students or already employed, they should also provide documents of being university students or on-post employees. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with translations in Chinese or English;

3、HSK Certificate;

4、The original and photocopy of Physical Examination Record for Foreigner;

5、A study and research plan of studying in China (no less than 1000 words);

6、Two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors.

Personal application will NOT be accepted once all the applications are submitted to province education department. Application materials will NOT be returned regardless of the result of application.

二、Scholarship Coverage and Criteria

Jilin Government Scholarship is full scholarship. The students should be postgraduate students. The durations of professional studying and scholarship are two years. The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation fees, comprehensive insurance and monthly living allowance (CNY1700 per month).

CQUPT President Scholarship

(For All International Students)

6. Others

1).The Scholarship will not be reserved if the recipient cannot register in CQUPT before the registration deadline (The registration time will be notified on the admission notice).

2).The Scholarship recipients shall not change their field of study or duration of study unless they give up the scholarship.

Chongqing Municipal People’s Government in 2021 Mayor Scholarship Application Method

In order to attract outstanding foreign students to study in Chongqing, the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government has specially established the “Chongqing Municipal People’s Government Mayor Scholarship for Foreign Students” (hereinafter referred to as the Mayor Scholarship). Welcome to apply for Chongqing Mayor Scholarship to study at Chongqing University.

Application conditions:

Scholarship funding criteria and duration:

The scholarship criteria are:

3. Doctoral students: RMB 35,000 per student per year ;

The duration of the mayor’s scholarship does not exceed the normal academic period of the corresponding degree of the scholarship recipient. Scholarship recipients are required to pay application fees, tuition fees, accommodation fees, insurance fees and other related fees by themselves. Scholarships are issued monthly in the form of living allowances for 10 months.

1. Online application

Applicants log in to the online application system ( https://cqu.17gz.org/member/login.do ) and create an account, select ” Chinese Local Government Scholarship ” for the funding category , fill in the application information and upload the following application materials ( the original version is required) Color scan, and the file size of each material should not exceed 1M ).

1) The first page of the passport. The passport should be valid for more than one year . Applicants already in China are also required to provide a copy of their visa or residence permit and the customs stamp of entry.

2) Proof of the highest degree of education. Those who apply for an undergraduate degree must provide a high school graduation certificate; those who apply for a master’s degree must provide an undergraduate diploma and academic certificate; those who apply for a doctoral degree must provide a master’s diploma and academic certificate. Fresh graduates should provide a pre-graduation certificate issued by their university. If admitted, they need to provide a formal academic certificate when registering.

3) Academic transcripts. Those who apply for an undergraduate degree must provide high school transcripts; those who apply for a master’s degree must provide their undergraduate transcripts; those who apply for a doctoral degree must provide their master’s transcripts.

4) Study plan or research plan (state personal basic information, personality characteristics, hobbies and specialties, learning motivation, learning goals and learning plan, etc., no less than 800 words).

5) two school art references. Applicants for master’s and doctoral degrees must submit academic recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English. The recommendation letter should introduce the student’s academic or scientific research and the contact information of the recommender (including position, email address, and contact number).

6) Personal resume. It must include the applicant’s personal information, educational background, work experience, scientific research results, paper publication, awards, etc.

7) Proof of language ability. Applicants who apply for English-taught programs and whose native language is not English-speaking countries need to provide proof of English proficiency (IELTS 6 and above / TOEFL 80 and above) or a certificate from the previous academic institution that the previous degree is taught in English, or Proof of having studied in an English-speaking country for more than one year; applicants applying for Chinese-taught programs must provide HSK score report ( level 4 180 points or above, some majors require HSK level 5 or higher, see the professional catalog description for details ) or have Other proofs of corresponding Chinese proficiency.

8) “Foreigner Physical Examination Record” . (Click http://study.cqu.edu.cn/info/1062/1413.htm to download) . This form must be completed in Chinese or English . Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the “Foreigner Physical Examination Record” for inspection. The “Foreigner Physical Examination Record” that is missing, does not have a photo of the person posted, or does not have a seal on the photo, and does not have the signature and seal of the doctor and the hospital is invalid; the attachment of the examination result (blood report, electrocardiogram and chest X Light). In view of the fact that the examination results are valid for 6 months, applicants are requested to plan the medical examination time reasonably.

Hebei Province Government Scholarship

This scholarship is open to those applying for international admission to Hebei University, and it is to support foreigner students being friendly to China and excellent in academic performance, behaving good and without any criminal records. 3. Applicants who have enrolled in Hebei University should be top students with excellent academic performance, being friendly to China, abiding by the China’s laws and regulations, strictly keeping the university disciplines, behaving good, and possessing good personality and morality.

4. Foreign students who have won other scholarships including China Government Scholarship, Confucius Institute Scholarship, scholarship from dispatch country are not qualified.

Evaluation

Scholarship winners will get the money only if they have paid tuition, application fee and health insurance.

The winners of Scholarship are not allowed to change their admission schools and majors. The period of scholarship is based on the degree programs and majors, and will not be extended.

The university will regularly review the overall performance of Scholarship students including academic scores, learning attitudes, class attendance, social behavior, and award/punishment. Students who pass the review can keep their scholarships to continue the study in Hebei University. For those failed to pass the assessment review, their scholarships will be suspended or terminated.

How to Apply for Generation Google Scholarship

Liaoning Government Scholarship

Scholarship program and supporting category

Liaoning Government Scholarship only supports doctoral students.

Scholarship coverage

The program provides full scholarship which covers tuition waiver, accommodation, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance.

Eligibility:

1. Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People Republic of China, and be in good health.

2. Applicants must be new doctoral student.

3. Candidates must be a Master Degree holder.

4. Applicants must apply for programs related to previous major study in order to be able to follow major courses well.

Time of application

Applicants shall submit application forms and all required documents prior to May 10th. The specific application time is subject to adjustment according to the announcement of Education Department of Liaoning Government. Please refer to the announcement on the website.

Application documents

1. Application Form for Liaoning Government Scholarship written in Chinese or English

2. Notarized highest diploma photocopy

Prospective diploma recipients must submit official document issued by your current school to prove your current student status or expected graduation date. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

3. Academic transcripts written in Chinese or English;

Trans cripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

4. Certificate of Current Student Status or Certificate of Current Employment.

5. A Study Plan or Research Proposal written in Chinese or English.

6. Two Recommendation Letters written in Chinese or English signed by a professor or an associate professor.

7. Foreigner Physical Examination Form photocopy

The physical examinations must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.

Application and admission procedures

1. Fill out Application Form of Liaoning Government Scholarship. If any revision is needed, DPU will contact applicants, so please fill in the correct contact number and E-mail address which can reach you. Be aware, the signature should be signed on Application Form.

2. Submit all application documents (in triplicate) to International Office, Dalian Polytechnic University.

3. Complete verification and assessment by Ph. D supervisors. International office sorts out applications and sends them to related Ph. D supervisors, who conduct verification and first round assessment.

4. Complete verification and assessment by schools.

5. Complete verification and assessment by university.

6. Submit Application documents (in triplicate) and DPU documents including List of Scholarship Recipients, Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for Study in China JW202 to International Office, Education Department of Liaoning Government prior to May 30th.

7. Complete verification and assessment by Education Department of Liaoning Government.

8. Notify scholarship recipients. Education Department of Liaoning Government sends approved List of Scholarship Recipients, Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for Study in China JW202to DPU prior to July 31st. Then DPU notifies scholarship recipients.

9. Scholarship will not be reserved if the scholarship recipient cannot register before the registration deadline.

Study Scholarships – Master Studies for All Academic Disciplines • DAAD

Objective

This scholarship programme offers you the opportunity to continue your academic education in Germany with a postgraduate course of study.

Who can apply?

  • Excellently-qualified graduates who have completed a first degree (Bachelor, Diplom or comparable academic degree) at the latest by the time they commence their scholarship-supported study programme.
  • For applicants from artistic disciplines and the field of architecture, the DAAD offers subject-specific scholarship programmes.

What can be funded?

  • Participation in a postgraduate programme after a first undergraduate course of study for the purpose of technical or scientific specialisation
  • Specifically, the following is supported:
    a postgraduate or Master’s degree programme completed at a state or state-recognised university in Germany
    or
    the first or second year of study at a state or state-recognised German university as part of a postgraduate or Master’s degree programme completed in the home country or in another foreign country; recognition of the academic achievements rendered in Germany must be guaranteed. The standard period of study of the postgraduate or Master’s degree programme should not be exceeded as a result of the study year in Germany.

Duration of the funding

For a postgraduate or Master’s degree completed in Germany:

  • between 10 and 24 months depending on the length of the chosen study programme
  • The scholarships are awarded for the duration of the standard period of study for the chosen study programme (up to a maximum of 24 months). To receive further funding after the first year of study for 2-year courses, proof of academic achievements thus far should indicate that the study programme can be successfully completed within the standard period of study.
  • Applicants who are already in Germany in the first academic year of a 2-year postgraduate or Master’s programme at the time of their application may apply for a scholarship for the second year of study. In this case, it is not possible to extend the scholarship.

For a study period in Germany as part of a postgraduate or Master’s degree completed in a foreign country:

  • usually one academic year (two semester); an extension is not possible.

The scholarship usually begins on 1st October, or earlier if the student takes a language course prior to the study programme.

  • Payments towards health, accident and personal liability insurance cover

Under certain circumstances, scholarship holders may receive the following additional benefits:

  • Monthly rent subsidy
  • Monthly allowance for accompanying members of family

To enable scholarship holders to learn German in preparation for their stay in the country, DAAD offers the following services:

  • Payment of course fees for the online language course “Deutsch-Uni Online (DUO)” (www.deutsch-uni.com) for six months after receipt of the Scholarship Award Letter
  • if necessary: Language course (2, 4 or 6 months) before the start of the study visit; the DAAD decides whether to fund participation and for how long depending on German language skills and project. Participation in a language course is compulsory if the study programme is taught in German.
  • Allowance for a personally chosen German language course during the scholarship period
  • Reimbursement of the fees for the TestDaF test which has either been taken in the home country after receipt of the Scholarship Award Letter or in Germany before the end of the funding period
  • As an alternative to the TestDaF for scholarship holders who have taken a language course beforehand: the fee for a DSH examination taken during the scholarship period may be reimbursed.

An independent selection committee consisting of specialist scientists reviews applications.

Selection criteria:

Academic qualification (documented by: certificates, reference, curriculum vitae, language certificate):

  • Academic achievements and duration of studies

Quality of the study project (documented by: letter of motivation, information about the preferred Master’s programme, reference, proof of language proficiency, if applicable, letter of admission from the German host university):

  • Quality of project presentation and preparation (preliminary information, contact with host institution)
  • Reasons for choosing Germany (academic and personal reasons for the planned study project, choice of the host institution)
  • Integration of the stay in the academic career and the connection with academic or professional perspectives

Additional criteria (documented by: curriculum vitae, if applicable, certificates):

  • Additional knowledge and skills (e.g. through professional or voluntary activities, further training)
  • Involvement in academic self-governance, higher education policy issues
  • Political, social, cultural, family (parental leave or care periods, etc.), social commitment
