Gansu Province Silk Road Special Scholarship Project

1. Enrollment category: undergraduate

Note: Applicants who do not meet the required Chinese level can study Chinese at our school at their own expense. After the Chinese level meets the required level and passes the annual review while studying at our school, the school will give priority to this scholarship.

4. Applicant qualifications

1. Non-Chinese nationality, holding a valid foreign passport (for those who were originally Chinese citizens and later became foreign nationals, our school implements the Ministry of Education Foreign Affairs [2009] No. 83), in good health;

2. Age requirement: 16-25 years old (for those under 18 years old, a minor guardianship certificate is required);

3. No violation of laws, regulations and school disciplines and regulations of Lanzhou Jiaotong University;

4. Have not received any form of Chinese scholarship funding;

5. Applicants must hold a HSK Level 4 score report of 200 points and above within the valid period. The HSK certificate is obtained at a test center other than our school. Applicants must re-register to take the test at the test center of our school and meet the score requirements within the first semester after enrollment;

6. Students who have received academic warnings or withdrawal warnings are not eligible to apply for the scholarship.

5. The content and standards of the scholarship

(1) The full prize of the Silk Road Special Scholarship

1. Free of tuition

2. The accommodation fee for 10 months is waived

3. Provide 10 months of living expenses: 1,500 yuan/month

(2) Half of the Silk Road Special Scholarship

1. Free of tuition

6. Individual students need to pay fees

1. Registration fee: RMB 400

2. Medical insurance fee: RMB 800/academic year

3. Teaching material fee: charged according to actual situation

4. 7 months and August accommodation fee: 500 yuan / month

8Application

Log in to the online registration system http://lzjtu.17gz.org and upload scanned copies of the following application materials:

1. The first page of the passport within the validity period;

2. Visa to China and entry and exit records (if any);

3. Notarized highest academic certificate and transcript (if it is in a language other than Chinese or English, a Chinese or English translation of the text must be submitted);

4. HSK Level 4 certificate with 200 points and above;

5. Applicants for ” Physical Examination Form for Foreigners ” should strictly follow the items required in the “Physical Examination Form for Foreigners”. The “Foreigner Physical Examination Form” that is missing, does not have a photo of the person affixed, or the photo is not stamped with a seam seal, is not signed and stamped by the doctor and the hospital is invalid. In view of the fact that the examination result is valid for 6 months, the applicant is requested to determine the time for the physical examination accordingly. (It must be filled out in English and can be downloaded from the website http://sie.lzjtu.edu.cn/ywlm/Programs/Programs.htm);

6. Study or research plan in China (not less than 500 words);

7. Proof of participation in social activities;

8. No criminal record certificate.

9. Admission and admission

After reviewing the applicant’s application materials, the school will determine the admission result and notify the applicant before July 15th. After receiving the admission result, the applicant must confirm within 5 working days and remit according to the account designated by the school or pay the registration fee of 400 yuan on site (the registration fee will not be refunded once it is paid). After successful payment, the school will send the “Lanzhou Jiaotong University Admission Notice” and “Visa Application Form to China” (JW202 form) within 15-20 working days. If the applicant fails to confirm the admission notice or pay the registration fee on time, our school will cancel the admission qualification.

Enrollment time is the end of August or the beginning of September. The specific admission time is subject to the admission notice. Admitted students must go to Lanzhou Jiaotong University for registration and admission procedures in strict accordance with the time specified in the admission notice. Those who fail to complete the enrollment procedures for more than two weeks after the prescribed enrollment time will be disqualified.

10. Annual assessment

1. The school conducts an annual qualification review of the students who are eligible for the Gansu Silk Road Special Scholarship, and determines the scholarship level based on the assessment results.

2. If the qualification for the Silk Road Special Scholarship in Gansu Province is cancelled and the student is converted to a self-supported student in September of that year, all fees shall be paid.
