11. Q: When and how can applicant get noticed if the admission as scholarship candidate approved by CSC?

      A: Scholarship recipient of CSC scholarship-University program will receive email and phone call from School of International Education, TGU in late July, scholarship recipients in the waiting list may get notified later but before the end of August, the Admission Letter and JW201 form will be mailed to the address on application form. We will not answer inquiry about admission process and result.

Partial scholarship application as back-up

12. Q: How can CSC full scholarship applicant apply for partial scholarship as back-up?

      A: Since the placements for CSC full scholarship -university program are limited annually, if the applicant also would apply and accept to study in TGU with other partial scholarship to be offered by Tianjin Municipal Government and TGU as back-up, the application steps are :

“Chinese Government Scholarship-Silk Road Program” Tianjin University 2021

In order to deepen the education cooperation with the Belt and Road”countries and to cultivate professionals for these countries, the Ministry of Education P.R.C has set up the “Chinese Government Scholarship-Silk Road Program” since 2017. This scholarship program is provided to China’s high-level universities for recruiting the outstanding young students from “Belt and Road” countries to pursue degrees in China.

2. TJU Review and interview: March 16 to June 1, 2021;

Date and form of interview will be notified through the email of TJU online system. Please check your email day by day. Applicants who fail to attend the interview are deemed to be giving up the application.

3. China Scholarship Council Review: Tianjin University will deliver materials of applicants who pass the TJU review to CSC and wait for the final admission results, normally from June 1 to June 30 (the exact date is decided by CSC each year);

4. Result Release: Tianjin University will announce the admission result officially on website, and post Admission Notice and Visa Application Form for Study in China (JW201) to scholarship winners from July 1 to July 31;

5. Registration: from the end of August to the early September, 2021.

Study-at-Nankai scholarship

Eligibility

1.Applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen, under the age of 25, and have a high school diploma.

2.Applicant is applying for studying in bachelor’s degree in Nankai University, or already enrolled in bachelor majors of Nankai University

1. Submit online application prior to May 10th.

2. Interview (Informed by schools).

3. Upon completing the application process and being formally accepted into Nankai University’s programs,

Chinese Government Scholarship-Belt and Road Program is a full scholarship established by the Ministry of Education to support Chinese universities to attract outstanding international students from Belt and Road Countries for graduate studies in China. Please note:

1. There is no application fee for Chinese Government Scholarship-Belt and Road Program in Wuhan University. Applicants should apply directly to Wuhan University and cannot submit application document through any intermediary agencies.

2. Ineligible or incomplete applications will not be considered. Please ensure that an accurate phone number, email address and mailing address (including postcode, city name) are provided.

3. Applicants do not need to send us hard copies of application documents. Some of the applicants will receive the interview notice informed by our schools around early April. Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship

Jiangxi Normal university

Jiangxi Provincial Government Scholarship is eligible for overseas candidates or current foreign students of doctorate, master and bachelor degree or general scholar (six month or above) programs. Applications shall be submitted to Jiangxi Normal University directly.

Hebei Provincial Government Scholarship- Yanshan University

  The Hebei Provincial Government awards Hebei Provincial Government Scholarships to international students studying in Hebei province’s institutions of higher learning. Undergraduates, masters and doctoral students in the school can apply. This scholarship is not open to foreign students who have received Chinese government scholarships, Confucius Institute scholarships, and scholarships awarded by sending countries. Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals, in good health, with excellent academic performance and good conduct. This scholarship is reviewed once a year and adheres to the principles of fairness, impartiality, openness, merit-based selection and standardization, and is used to subsidize outstanding foreign students’ tuition and living expenses during their studies at the school.    

1. Scholarship application requirements    

1. Applicants must be in good health, have foreign nationality, and hold a foreign passport.    

2. Applicants must be foreign students studying for bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral degrees and long-term studies in non-academic education in public universities directly under the Provincial Department of Education.    

3. Applicants must be friendly to China, have excellent academic performance, and must abide by Chinese laws, social ethics and school rules and regulations, and have good overall qualities and moral standards.    

2. Scholarship standards    

The Hebei Provincial Government awarded scholarships to international students. The scholarship criteria are as follows:    

    Undergraduate:  5000 Yuan / Year          

    Master:   15,000 Yuan / Year    

    Doctoral students:   RMB 20,000 yuan / year

ADMISSIONS FOR YUNNAN PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2021 Yunnan University

I. Admissions Category
Full-time Degree Students including Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD. Degree; and Non-Degree Students including
scholars in Chinese language.

II. Admissions Country
Mainly opening to South Asia and Southeast Asia countries, applicants from other countries are also welcome.

III.Application RequirementsThe applicants must be Non-Chinese citizens in good health condition. 2. Bachelor’s degree program applicants must be a high school graduate under the age of 25. 3. Master’s degree program applicants must be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 . 4. PhD. degree program applicants must be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40. 5. Applicants for Scholars in Chinese Language should hold High School Graduation Certification or above, and be
under the age of 35. 6. Applicants for degree programs must have achieved HSK level 4 with total score no less than 180.

V. Application Documents
Reminder: All the following documents should be uploaded(https://ynu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/login.aspx). All
uploaded supporting documents must be clear, authentic and valid. Applicants shall bear the consequences caused by
unclear or unidentifiable uploaded materials. The following documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be
attached with notarized Chinese or English translation. 1. Application Form of Yunnan Provincial Government Scholarship Program, complete in Chinese or English.

Applicant’s notarized highest diploma. Prospective diploma winners must provide official proof of their student
status (provided by current school). Those who are employed after graduation are required to provide certification of their employment status (provided by current employer). 3. Valid HSK transcript. 4. High School Graduate Test transcript (for students apply for undergraduate courses) or academic transcript (for students apply for other categories). 5. Study or research plan written in English or Chinese (300 words or above for Bachelor’s Degree applicants, 400 words or above for Master’s Degree applicants, 500 words or above for PhD. Degree applicants). 6. Two Recommendation Letters (written in Chinese or English). Applicants for Master’s Degree, PhD. Degree, and Scholars in Chinese Language must provide two recommendation letters signed by professor or associate professor. 7. Applicants for music studies are requested to submit their own works. Applicants for fine arts programs must submit their own works which include two sketches, two color paintings and two other works. 8. Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy should be kept by the applicant, and brought to China with the applicants.) The form is designed by the Chinese quarantine authority and can be obtained from the dispatching authority. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.

VI. Admissions and Notification

After assessment by experts from Yunnan University, the documents of qualified applicants will be delivered to the
Education Department of Yunnan Province, it is a merit-based enrolment. 2. Admissions documents will be send to scholarship recipient at the beginning of July. 3. Scholarship recipients shall not change their field of study or duration of study unless they give up the grant. 4. Scholarship will not be reserved if its scholarship recipient cannot register before the registration deadline.

Fujian Provincial Govt. Scholarship

I. Introduction

In 2012, in an effort to further strengthen the educational exchange and cooperation between Fujian Province and the rest of the world, and to promote healthy development of the education for international students, Fujian provincial government set up scholarships for international students studying in degree programs.

II. Eligibility

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.

2. Educational background and age limits (as of September 1, 2021):

(1) Bachelor’s programs: hold a high school diploma or above and be under the age of 30;

(2) Master’s programs: hold a bachelor’s degree or above and be under the age of 35;

(3) Doctoral programs: hold a master’s degree or above and be under the age of 40.

V. Scholarships Coverage and Duration

1. Standard of scholarships: RMB 30,000/year for bachelor’s programs; RMB 40,000/year for master’s programs; RMB 50,000/year for doctoral programs.

2. Distribution of scholarships: Scholarships awardees of the 2021 cohort need to first complete registration as a self-supporting new student, and pay all the fees required for study within the stipulated time. The University will return the relevant fees that were originally paid by the recipients in accordance with the scholarships’ content in around 2022 Spring.

3. Duration of scholarships: 1 year.

The University will select the best candidates from the pool of students who have passed the review to apply for the scholarship again in the following year. The shortlisted candidates will be submitted to the Fujian Provincial Department of Education for final approval.

VI. Application Period: February 1 to April 15, 2021.

IX. Selection and Notification

Applications for the scholarships will be evaluated on a competitive basis through an open, fair and impartial process. A comprehensive review will be conducted on applicants’ academic record, language proficiency, overall merits, research achievements and their prospective supervisor’s comments. The shortlisted candidates will be submitted to the Fujian Provincial Department of Education for final approval.
