Heilongjiang Provincial Government Scholarship Program for Studying in China

In order to further promote the development of international education students in Heilongjiang Province, Heilongjiang provincial government established the ” Study in China Heilongjiang Provincial Government Scholarship ” (hereinafter referred to as scholarships). In principle, the scholarship is mainly used to fund outstanding international students who apply for bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and doctorate degree in Heilongjiang province-owned colleges and universities that have the qualifications to accept international students. Our school is a university that accepts applicants for Heilongjiang Provincial Government Scholarship, and undertakes the task of training students for Heilongjiang Provincial Government Scholarship.

Our school is a teaching and research university with a strong school-running strength and distinctive characteristics with a coordinated development of nine disciplines including economics, management, philosophy, literature, law, education, and art, with a focus on work and a combination of science and engineering. The school has 18 colleges with 63 undergraduate majors ; 22 first-level disciplines for master’s degree authorization, 98 second- level disciplines for master’s degree authorization ; 8 first-level disciplines for doctoral degree authorization and 28 second- level disciplines for doctoral degree authorization .

Applicants can choose the major they want to study in the major catalogue opened by the school. The Heilongjiang Provincial Government Scholarship Program does not provide Chinese language tuition, and it is required to have the HSK level 5 Chinese language proficiency required for the application when entering the school . If applicants do not have a basic knowledge of Chinese, they can study Chinese at the International Culture and Education College of our school (study fees are at their own expense), and can enter professional studies after obtaining the HSK Level 5 certificate. Students applying for the undergraduate major of Chinese International Education do not need to provide HSK transcripts and Chinese language tuition.

Free registration fee, tuition fee, experiment fee, internship fee, on-campus accommodation fee and comprehensive medical insurance fee;

Note:

   1. Scholarship students are required to conduct experiments or internships that exceed the school’s teaching plan, and the excess expenses shall be borne by themselves.

   2. International travel expenses and living expenses shall be borne by themselves.

3. Application conditions

1. Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens, in good health, and have not received any other scholarships.

2. Applicants must be non-students studying in China (graduates studying in China must graduate more than one academic year);

3. Applicant’s educational background and age requirements:

Applicants for a bachelor’s degree must have a high school diploma and be under the age of 25 ;

Applicants for master’s degree must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35 ;

Applicants for a doctorate degree must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40 .

4. Application materials

Applicants must truthfully fill in and submit the following application materials (all in duplicate):

2. Notarized highest education certificate. If the applicant is a student at school or is already employed, he/she must also submit an enrollment certificate issued by the school or employment certificate issued by the employer. Documents in languages ​​other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations;

3. Academic transcripts, HSK transcripts;

4. Plan to study or research in China. Applicants can write a study or research plan in China in Chinese or English (attached papers can be attached);

5. Applicants for master’s or doctoral students must submit two recommendation letters from professors or associate professors, written in Chinese or English;

6. The original and photocopy of the “Foreigner Physical Examination Record”: This form is uniformly printed by the Chinese Health and Quarantine Department and must be filled out in English. Applicants should strictly follow the items required in the “Foreigner Physical Examination Record” for inspection. The “Foreigner Physical Examination Record” that is missing, does not have a photo of the person affixed, or is not stamped with a seam seal on the photo, and does not have the signature and seal of the doctor and the hospital is invalid. In view of the fact that the examination result is valid for 6 months, the applicant is requested to determine the time for the physical examination accordingly;

2. Fill in the “Heilongjiang Provincial Government Scholarship Application Form” and prepare the application materials;

3. The electronic version of the application materials should be sent to the registration e-mail box: jiyongjin69@163.com ; the original application materials should be mailed to the International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Harbin University of Science and Technology (Zip Code: 150080 ).

Note: Applicant materials will not be returned regardless of admission.

7. Admission and notification

3. The school will announce the list of students to be admitted at http://gjhz.hrbust.edu.cn/ (the website of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange) in early July ;

4. In mid- July , the school will mail the “Admission Notice”, “Notice for Registration”, and “Visa Application Form for Foreigners Studying in China” ( JW202 Form) to prospective scholarship applicants , and the admitted students will go to the Chinese International Student Center The embassy (consulate) of the country shall apply for a visa to come to China and register at the school on the date set by the school (usually at the end of August of the current year ).
