Hebei Province Government Scholarship

This scholarship is open to those applying for international admission to Hebei University, and it is to support foreigner students being friendly to China and excellent in academic performance, behaving good and without any criminal records. The candidates can be doctoral students, master students, undergraduate students, or the long-term (studying for more than 6 months) senior/general advanced students, language students, but not from Hong Kong, Marco or Taiwan.

Applicant Qualification

1. The applicants must be Non-Chinese citizens and possess a valid foreign passport;

2. The applicants should meet the host university admission requirements:

To apply for PhD programs, the applicant should have a master degree or equivalent, provide 2 recommendation letters from associate professors or higher positions, and be aged 40 or under at enrollment;

To apply for Master programs, the applicant should have a bachelor degree or equivalent, provide 2 recommendation letters from associate professors or higher positions, and be aged 35 or under at enrollment;

To apply for Undergraduate programs, the applicant should have a high school graduate certificate or diploma, and be aged 25 or under at enrollment;

To pursue a major of Chinese language or related majors, the applicant should meet the required language proficiency, and provide corresponding proofs, such as HSK certificate, other Chinese learning and test results.

3. Applicants who have enrolled in Hebei University should be top students with excellent academic performance, being friendly to China, abiding by the China’s laws and regulations, strictly keeping the university disciplines, behaving good, and possessing good personality and morality.

4. Foreign students who have won other scholarships including China Government Scholarship, Confucius Institute Scholarship, scholarship from dispatch country are not qualified.

Evaluation

Scholarship winners will get the money only if they have paid tuition, application fee and health insurance.

The winners of Scholarship are not allowed to change their admission schools and majors. The period of scholarship is based on the degree programs and majors, and will not be extended.

The university will regularly review the overall performance of Scholarship students including academic scores, learning attitudes, class attendance, social behavior, and award/punishment. Students who pass the review can keep their scholarships to continue the study in Hebei University. For those failed to pass the assessment review, their scholarships will be suspended or terminated.

GENERATION GOOGLE SCHOLARSHIP

Google, the worlds’ largest internet company offers scholarships for female students in computer science. The General Google Scholarship program is established to help aspiring students pursuing computer science degrees excel in technology and become leaders in the field. This is a great opportunity for Pakistani Female students studying Computer Science in a recognized university. Selected students will receive $1,000 USD for 2021-2022.

Generation Google Scholarship: for women in computer science selection criteria includes a number of factors including a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, demonstrated leadership, and academic performance. How to Apply for Generation Google Scholarship

Online application form will be available on March 01, 2021. The application form will be available till March 29, 2021. You will be required to fill in the followgs:

Liaoning Government Scholarship

Scholarship program and supporting category

Liaoning Government Scholarship only supports doctoral students.

Scholarship coverage

The program provides full scholarship which covers tuition waiver, accommodation, stipend, and comprehensive medical insurance.

Eligibility:

1. Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People Republic of China, and be in good health.

2. Applicants must be new doctoral student.

3. Candidates must be a Master Degree holder.

4. Applicants must apply for programs related to previous major study in order to be able to follow major courses well.

Applicants shall submit application forms and all required documents prior to May 10th. The specific application time is subject to adjustment according to the announcement of Education Department of Liaoning Government. Please refer to the announcement on the website.

Prospective diploma recipients must submit official document issued by your current school to prove your current student status or expected graduation date. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized Chinese or English translations.

4. Certificate of Current Student Status or Certificate of Current Employment.

7. Foreigner Physical Examination Form photocopy

The physical examinations must cover all of the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.

Application and admission procedures

1. Fill out Application Form of Liaoning Government Scholarship. If any revision is needed, DPU will contact applicants, so please fill in the correct contact number and E-mail address which can reach you. Be aware, the signature should be signed on Application Form.

2. Submit all application documents (in triplicate) to International Office, Dalian Polytechnic University.

3. Complete verification and assessment by Ph. D supervisors. International office sorts out applications and sends them to related Ph. D supervisors, who conduct verification and first round assessment.

4. Complete verification and assessment by schools.

5. Complete verification and assessment by university.

6. Submit Application documents (in triplicate) and DPU documents including List of Scholarship Recipients, Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for Study in China JW202 to International Office, Education Department of Liaoning Government prior to May 30th.

7. Complete verification and assessment by Education Department of Liaoning Government.

8. Notify scholarship recipients. Education Department of Liaoning Government sends approved List of Scholarship Recipients, Admission Letter and Visa Application Form for Study in China JW202to DPU prior to July 31st. Then DPU notifies scholarship recipients.

9. Scholarship will not be reserved if the scholarship recipient cannot register before the registration deadline.

Study Scholarships – Master Studies for All Academic Disciplines • DAAD

Objective

This scholarship programme offers you the opportunity to continue your academic education in Germany with a postgraduate course of study.

Who can apply?

  • Excellently-qualified graduates who have completed a first degree (Bachelor, Diplom or comparable academic degree) at the latest by the time they commence their scholarship-supported study programme.
  • For applicants from artistic disciplines and the field of architecture, the DAAD offers subject-specific scholarship programmes.

What can be funded?

  • Participation in a postgraduate programme after a first undergraduate course of study for the purpose of technical or scientific specialisation
  • Specifically, the following is supported:
    a postgraduate or Master’s degree programme completed at a state or state-recognised university in Germany
    or
    the first or second year of study at a state or state-recognised German university as part of a postgraduate or Master’s degree programme completed in the home country or in another foreign country; recognition of the academic achievements rendered in Germany must be guaranteed. The standard period of study of the postgraduate or Master’s degree programme should not be exceeded as a result of the study year in Germany.

Duration of the funding

For a postgraduate or Master’s degree completed in Germany:

  • between 10 and 24 months depending on the length of the chosen study programme
  • The scholarships are awarded for the duration of the standard period of study for the chosen study programme (up to a maximum of 24 months). To receive further funding after the first year of study for 2-year courses, proof of academic achievements thus far should indicate that the study programme can be successfully completed within the standard period of study.
  • Applicants who are already in Germany in the first academic year of a 2-year postgraduate or Master’s programme at the time of their application may apply for a scholarship for the second year of study. In this case, it is not possible to extend the scholarship.

For a study period in Germany as part of a postgraduate or Master’s degree completed in a foreign country:

  • usually one academic year (two semester); an extension is not possible.

The scholarship usually begins on 1st October, or earlier if the student takes a language course prior to the study programme.

Under certain circumstances, scholarship holders may receive the following additional benefits:

  • Monthly rent subsidy
  • Monthly allowance for accompanying members of family

To enable scholarship holders to learn German in preparation for their stay in the country, DAAD offers the following services:

  • Payment of course fees for the online language course “Deutsch-Uni Online (DUO)” (www.deutsch-uni.com) for six months after receipt of the Scholarship Award Letter
  • if necessary: Language course (2, 4 or 6 months) before the start of the study visit; the DAAD decides whether to fund participation and for how long depending on German language skills and project. Participation in a language course is compulsory if the study programme is taught in German.
  • Allowance for a personally chosen German language course during the scholarship period
  • Reimbursement of the fees for the TestDaF test which has either been taken in the home country after receipt of the Scholarship Award Letter or in Germany before the end of the funding period
  • As an alternative to the TestDaF for scholarship holders who have taken a language course beforehand: the fee for a DSH examination taken during the scholarship period may be reimbursed.

An independent selection committee consisting of specialist scientists reviews applications.

Quality of the study project (documented by: letter of motivation, information about the preferred Master’s programme, reference, proof of language proficiency, if applicable, letter of admission from the German host university):

  • Quality of project presentation and preparation (preliminary information, contact with host institution)
  • Reasons for choosing Germany (academic and personal reasons for the planned study project, choice of the host institution)
  • Integration of the stay in the academic career and the connection with academic or professional perspectives

Additional criteria (documented by: curriculum vitae, if applicable, certificates):

  • Additional knowledge and skills (e.g. through professional or voluntary activities, further training)
  • Involvement in academic self-governance, higher education policy issues
  • Political, social, cultural, family (parental leave or care periods, etc.), social commitment
