ADMISSIONS FOR YUNNAN PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM 2021 Yunnan University

I. Admissions Category
Full-time Degree Students including Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD. Degree; and Non-Degree Students including
scholars in Chinese language.

II. Admissions Country
Mainly opening to South Asia and Southeast Asia countries, applicants from other countries are also welcome.

III.Application RequirementsThe applicants must be Non-Chinese citizens in good health condition. 2. Bachelor’s degree program applicants must be a high school graduate under the age of 25. 3. Master’s degree program applicants must be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 . 4. PhD. degree program applicants must be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40. 5. Applicants for Scholars in Chinese Language should hold High School Graduation Certification or above, and be
under the age of 35. 6. Applicants for degree programs must have achieved HSK level 4 with total score no less than 180.

IV. Application ProcedureApplicants should complete the application procedure online. Please visit
https://ynu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/login.aspx to fill in the Application Form of Yunnan Provincial Government
Scholarship Program in Chinese or English. 2. Applicants should complete online application by 1st April, 2021. Overdue completion and/or incomplete information may result in failure in receiving the award.

V. Application Documents
Reminder: All the following documents should be uploaded(https://ynu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/login.aspx). All
uploaded supporting documents must be clear, authentic and valid. Applicants shall bear the consequences caused by
unclear or unidentifiable uploaded materials. The following documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be
attached with notarized Chinese or English translation. 1. Application Form of Yunnan Provincial Government Scholarship Program, complete in Chinese or English.

Applicant’s notarized highest diploma. Prospective diploma winners must provide official proof of their student
status (provided by current school). Those who are employed after graduation are required to provide certification of their employment status (provided by current employer). 3. Valid HSK transcript. 4. High School Graduate Test transcript (for students apply for undergraduate courses) or academic transcript (for students apply for other categories). 5. Study or research plan written in English or Chinese (300 words or above for Bachelor’s Degree applicants, 400 words or above for Master’s Degree applicants, 500 words or above for PhD. Degree applicants). 6. Two Recommendation Letters (written in Chinese or English). Applicants for Master’s Degree, PhD. Degree, and Scholars in Chinese Language must provide two recommendation letters signed by professor or associate professor. 7. Applicants for music studies are requested to submit their own works. Applicants for fine arts programs must submit their own works which include two sketches, two color paintings and two other works. 8. Applicants planning to stay in China for more than 6 months must submit a photocopy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form completed in English (the original copy should be kept by the applicant, and brought to China with the applicants.) The form is designed by the Chinese quarantine authority and can be obtained from the dispatching authority. The physical examinations must cover all the items listed in the Foreigner Physical Examination Form. Incomplete records or those without the signature of the attending physician, the official stamp of the hospital or a sealed photograph of the applicants are invalid. Please select the appropriate time to take physical examination as the result is valid for only 6 months.

VI. Admissions and Notification

After assessment by experts from Yunnan University, the documents of qualified applicants will be delivered to the
Education Department of Yunnan Province, it is a merit-based enrolment. 2. Admissions documents will be send to scholarship recipient at the beginning of July. 3. Scholarship recipients shall not change their field of study or duration of study unless they give up the grant. 4. Scholarship will not be reserved if its scholarship recipient cannot register before the registration deadline.
